7th Grade Weekly Recap for the Week of Nov 26

In 7th grade boys’ basketball action Monday night, your Yorkville Foxes defeated the Traughber Panthers by the score of 40-24. After struggling to score in the first half, the Foxes put up 11 points in the third quarter and 12 points in the fourth quarter to pull away. Jon Jungr led all scorers with 14 points while Christian Payne added 13. In the second game Yorkville fought back to capture victory in a 31-26 battle. Krztstoph Simmons led the way with 7 points. On Tuesday night, your Yorkville Foxes soundly defeated the Sandwich Braves 47-24. After a sluggish first half, Logan Habada got the Foxes on the right track by drilling a trio of three pointers in the fourth quarter to put the game away. Scoring was led by Christian Payne with 12 points followed by Jon Jungr with 11 and Logan Habada with 10. In the second game Yorkville continued their winning way with a 26-19 score. Vince Pisano led the charge with a solid defensive performance to go along with his 4 points. The Foxes are in action again this weekend at the Waubonsee (College) Tournament with games on Friday night at 5:30pm and 9:30pm.
