After weather delays of several hours the teams finally got to race against the biggest schools in the state on a slow and muddy 2-mile course. Nearly 200 runners competed in the girls and boys races. The girls team finished 8th in the state, which is the best-ever finish for our YMS girls team. Alexis Grandys became the first All-State runner in YMS girls history with her 3rd place finish in 11:45. Alexis was followed by Dominque Anderson in 47th place, Maggie Klemm in 72nd place, Maddie Dearborn in 80th place, Nicole Doles in 95th place, Julia Megazzini in 122nd place, and Lindsay Harrison in 140th place. The boys also had a best-ever finish by coming in 7th place as a team. Alexx Nauman became only the 2nd-ever All-State runner for the YMS boys with his 16th place finish in 11:09. Zack Price finished in 48th place followed by Patrick Black in 68th, Dawson Diederich in 106th, Evan Jaros in 108th, and Triston Robb in 132nd. Congratulations to all cross country runners for a great season!
