MVC and Skyline Announce All-League Teams

The Mountain View Conference and Skyline League have announced their 2011 all-league teams.

North Douglas senior Mason Colburn was named the 2A MVC's player of the year and Yoncalla's Gordon Kronberger was the conference's coach of the year.

Douglas County players joining Colburn on the first-team were teammate Austin Potter; Oakland's Zach Dickson; Kasey Dunn of Days Creek; and Yoncalla junior Tyler Graham.

Elkton swept the top honors in the 1A Skyline League as junior Noah Miller was selected player of the year and Gary Trout was named the league's coach of the year.

Local players on the first-team included Elkton's Brent Whipple; along with Umpqua Valley Christian's Zack Medak; Danny Medak; and Colton Claughton.
