Home » Football NewsTyler Graham HonoredMarch 7, 2012 By Brian Berry of Yoncalla High SchoolTyler Graham Honored Yoncalla High School senior Tyler Graham has been named to the 2012 East-West Shrine Game. The East-West Shrine Game is beginning it's 60th year and features some of the highest-rated high school football players in the state of Oregon. While this event is a privilege it is designed to benefit the Shriners Hospital for Children. The Shriners Hospital changes lives every day through innovative pediatric specialty care, research and medical education. They have 22 hospitals in the United States, Canada and Mexico. These hospitals provide advanced care for children with orthopedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries and cleft lip and palate. Graham along with 29 other top athletes from the area will be representing the west squad on August 4th in Baker City, Oregon. Graham stated, “I’m excited about the opportunity to represent my school and community and to be able to support such a wonderful cause. How can you go wrong helping children? Also, we are talking about the best of the best that I will get to compete against. I am looking forward to that challenge.” Graham is listed as both an offensive lineman and a defensive lineman for the contest. His coach, Matt Bragg said, “I am proud of Tyler and what he has accomplished. He will represent Yoncalla High School with class and is deserving of this opportunity.”
