Home » Baseball News2012 Oxford High School Baseball has been invited to National Tournament!August 11, 2011 By Wes brooks of Oxford High SchoolBaseball America and USA Baseball has teamed up together to host a National High School Baseball Invitational Tournament next spring. They have invited what they think will be the 2012 Pre-Season Top 25 teams in the country. The first 16 teams of the top 25 to confirm that they are interested will get a spot in the tournament. The Oxford, AL Yellowjackets were contacted in March of this year as a possible team for the 2012 season. With their 2012 committments, 2012/2013 up coming talent, and a strong (31-7) 2011 record with victories of some of the top programs in the Southeast, the 2012 Oxford High School Baseball team has been officially invited and have officially accepted to play in this tournament during the 2012 season, March 27-31st. Some of the other teams that have already committed areSarasota (Fla.) High, Bishop Gorman High (Las Vegas), Parkview High (Lilburn, Ga.) and Brookwood High (Snellville, Ga.).
