5/10/2012 - Bingo
Ridgewood High School Parents’ Club presents "15 Game Bingo Night" on Saturday, May 12, 2012. Doors open at 5:00 PM and the first game is at 6:00 PM. [J. McCormick]
5/10/2012 - Diamonds and Ice Prom
Prom tickets go on sale Wednesday, May 16th through Friday, May 18 in the student cafe, Room 123, during lunch and again Tuesday, May 22nd through Thursday, May 24th. Singles tickets are $70 and couples are $130. When you buy your ticket you will sign up for table seating. There are 10 people per table; plan ahead and buy an entire table with your friends. [W. SENIORS! The Harwood Heights Chamber of Commerce has a scholarship opportunity guaranteed to go to a Ridgewood student. Did we mention this scholarship also includes a LAPTOP from BEST BUY? 5/10/2012 - Planning to go to Post Prom?
Post prom forms and $30/person are due by June 1st. Forms and money can be turned into to Mr. Glogowski in Room 216 before or after school. You will not be able to go if you don't return your forms by June 1st. [W. Glogowski]
5/9/2012 - Open House for Norridge Plan
On Thursday, May 10, 2012, the Village of Norridge will host a public open house for the Norridge Comprehensive Plan at the Estelle Sieb Community Center from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM. The Norridge Comprehensive Plan will guide growth and development in the Village for years to come. At this public open house, the draft comprehensive plan will be available for public review and comment. Exhibits on display at the open house will include future land use maps, as well as the main recommendations for the Village to achieve the community’s shared vision for Norridge. The purpose of the open house is to receive public comment prior to beginning the formal review process with the Village Board and other Norridge officials. Representatives from the Village and CMAP will be available to answer questions and provide clarification. No formal presentation will be given, so please feel free to drop in at any time between 5:30 and 8:00 PM. Additional information about the comprehensive plan is available on CMAP’s Norridge project webpage at www.cmap.illinois.gov/norridge. 5/8/2012 - Congrats RHS Band!
Congratulations the RHS Band! They have been accepted once again to perform at the Walt Disney World complex in Orlando, Florida in March of next year. Way to go! [S. Klaus]
5/4/2012 - Class Elections
Attention Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors. Now is the time to make a difference at Ridgewood. Class elections will be held in two weeks time for the class of 2013, 2014 and 2015. Positions of President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer are open for each class. Pick up petitions from your class advisor or from Mr. Parrillo (Room 149) or Ms. Cantos (Room 233) Petitions are due May 9th. [T. Parrillo]
5/4/2012 - Spring Play
The Ridgewood High School Drama Club and Thespian Troupe 6662 Proudly present: Twelfth Night, by William Shakespeare. You know the story: Duke meets girl who swears off love but falls in love with a young man, who is really a woman, who is in love with the duke, who is in love with the woman who has sworn off love but... Never mind. It's a love story. It's a comedy. It's Shakespeare. May 17th, 18th and 19th on the Front Lawn. Tickets are $3 for students and seniors, $5 adults. Thanks, and hope to see you there! [J.
