Marching Wildcats compete at SE Guilford Invitational

The West Stokes Wildcat Marching Band competed at the SE Guilford High School Band Invitational On Saturday October 10, 2009. Band Director, David Bennett lead his Marching Wildcats to Forest Oaks to compete against 17 other very gifted High School bands. The schools were classified as 1A to 4A. West Stokes was moved up to compete in the 4A class. The marching Wildcats did a beautiful job of presenting their program of, "Remember When Music Was Music" to the large crowd at Southeast Guilford High School. The Wildcats received second place trophies for Drum Major Brittney Jackson, Music Performance and for second place in the 4A class. The Pit Crew received a first place trophy for the best Pit Crew of the day.
 West Stokes High School will hold their Marching Band Invitational this Saturday, October 17, 2009 at the West Stokes High School football stadium. Please make arrangements to attend and witness the music played by 14 high schools from as far away as Virginia coming together in one arena to entertain and showcase their music.
