Chargers Fall in Sectional Finals

The Lakeland Laker and West Noble Charger soccer teams played with the intensity Saturday that you would come to expect between the two schools.  West Noble was coming off an emotional 1-0 victory over the host Westview Warriors on Wednesday and the Lakers were also victorious over the Prairie Heights Panthers.  When the two teams met earlier this year, West Noble was victorious 2-0 and 1-0.  This time Lakeland got the upperhand on the Chargers early in the 2nd half with a goal and wouldn't look back as the Lakers defeated the 10th ranked Chargers 2-1.  The Chargers lone goal was scored by Jesus Villa.  West Noble(14-4-1) concluded the season as NECC Tourney champions, NECC regular season runner ups and sectional runner ups.  The Chargers had a great season and will miss the graduating seniors; however, the cupboard is far from bare for Coach Ampelio Pizana as the Chargers return many of its starters for next year as well.  Congratulations guys on a great season!  Thank you seniors for all of your work and dedication.
