Home » Girls' Volleyball NewsChargers Down Blazers in ThreeSeptember 28, 2011 By Tom Schermerhorn of West Noble High SchoolThe West Noble volleyball team continued its recent strong play by defeating the Eastside Blazers in 3 sets on Tuesday at West Noble 25-21,25-22,25-13. The Chargers played very aggressive at the net with Haley Richardson pounding 12 kills, Renee Zeigler and Chelsea Risser 7 each and Konnor Speicher 5. Kelsie Peterson assisted on 26 of those kills and also had 15 digs and 2 aces. Trinity Patton also had 13 digs while Richardson added 3 blocks and Risser had 4 aces and 7 digs. Also contributing for the Chargers were Ashlee Ritchie with 1 ace and Sarah Hursey with 1 block. The Chargers (9-12) play at Churubusco on Thursday. JV game time is 6pm. In JV action, the Chargers fell to the Blazers 16-25,25-24,6-15. Darby Allen led the Chargers with 7 assists while Cara Groff added 1 block. Rachel Schermerhorn recorded 4 aces to go along with 4 kills. Taylor Fisher smashed 5 kills and Amanda Huntsman added 6 digs while Maya Mora chipped in 5 digs. The JV Chargers play Churubusco at 6pm on Thursday.
