Chargers Finish Strong in Sectionals

The West Noble Charger Gymnastics team traveled to Wawasee Saturday morning for the IHSAA Sectional Meet. The Chargers performed well throughout the day as they scored a season best of 86.1. West Noble’s junior Amanda Huntsman led the Chargers with an All Around score of 30.475 to place 25th. Sophomore Meagan Roy was not far behind at 27th in All Around. In the Bars, Huntsman placed 25th with a 6.95 while Roy finished with a 5.35 and freshman Trisha Beers finished 32nd with a 5.250. ON the Balance Beam, Roy led the Chargers with a 7.625 while Huntsman added a 7.225, senior Monica Guerrero a 6.9 and freshman Marissa Huntsman chipped in a 4.750. In the Floor Exercise competition West Noble earned a 7.95 from Amanda Huntsman while sister Marissa Huntsman was not far behind with a 7.650. Roy added a score of 6.675 while Guerrero managed to score a 6.675. On the Vault, West Noble was once again led by Amanda Huntsman’s 8.350 while Marissa Huntsman added an 8.2 and Meagan Roy and Monica Guerrero tied with a 7.950. The Chargers faced 12 teams at the Sectional and finished 9th overall. West Noble will lose senior Monica Guerrero to graduation, but return the rest of the squad. Thank you Monica for all of your hard work and leadership, you will be missed next season!
