Marsh Signs With Purdue North Central Softball
February 26, 2014By Tom Schermerhorn of West Noble High School
West Noble senior Molly Marsh has decided to continue her educational and softball career at Purdue North Central. Marsh is going to study Nursing at the NAIA school located just outside of Michigan City. She plans on catching for the Panthers as they were looking for someone with strong defensive skills behind the plate. Marsh also was a solid hitter as well as she batted .453 her sophomore season and .375 her junior year. Molly really likes the direction that the Purdue North Central program is taking and she looks forward to helping it succeed in the future.
Indiana Strikerz travel coach Chris Ramer commented on what a game changer Molly was at catcher defensively. “Other teams had to think twice before looking to steal while Molly was behind the plate.” West Noble coach Christy Gibson also added that Molly’s leadership on the field is very good and that she provides a solid bat with good power at the plate. “Purdue North Central is also getting a solid student athlete.”
As far as PNC Asst Coach Denny King goes, he is enjoying the fact that he gets a hard worker on both the softball field and in the classroom. “Molly has a great opportunity to achieve her goals at Purdue North Central, we hope to help her reach them not only on the softball field but in the classroom as well.”
Congratulations Molly on this accomplishment.
