Goodyear Wrestles at State

By Tom Schermerhorn of West Noble High SchoolWest Noble's Zach Goodyear wrestled Jacob Ricks of Benton Central this past Friday night in the State Wrestling Finals held at Banker's Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis in front of a crowd of 15,000+. Zach went into the match with a 36-9 record against the 46-1 Ricks. Goodyear came out strong against Ricks but was unable to withstand a 2nd period pin by the senior Ricks. Goodyear had a great year for the Chargers as he once again was crowned sectional champion. Great job Zach!
