Chargers Down Marines on Senior Night

By Tom Schermerhorn of West Noble High SchoolThe West Noble Charger boys basketball team rallied after a slow start to defeat the visiting Hamilton Marines 73-49 in the final home game of the season. The Chargers trailed 15-11 after one quarter before outscoring the Marines by 10 in the second. West Noble was led by 6'5" junior Keith Gibson's 22 points and 9 rebounds. Senior Nick Thomas scored 17 points while junior 6'6" guard Phil Miller scored 11 points while also tying the single game assist record with 13 assists. Brandon Evans also chipped in with 9 points while Armando Rosales added 7. Prior to the game, the Chargers recognized the following seniors before the game: Armando Rosales, Nick Noe, Nick Thomas, Johnny Miller, David Ness, Manager Ashlee Ritchie, Manager Courtney Moore and cheerleader Kelly Stingfellow. Thank you seniors for all of your dedication to West Noble.
