Home » Girls' Basketball NewsLady Chargers Down Warriors With Buzzer BeaterFebruary 5, 2013 By Tom Schermerhorn of West Noble High SchoolThe West Noble Chargers came back from a double digit deficit to defeat the Westview Warriors by a 58-57 score on a last second basket by junior Kelsie Peterson in front of a standing room only crowd of 2000+. Peterson took the ball to the right baseline and shot over an outstretched Lady Warrior hand before the ball bounced 5 times on the rim as the final buzzer sounded setting off an ear piercing celebration by the Charger faithful. Peterson finished the game with 22 points to share scroring honors with senior Haley Richardson. The Chargers finished the NECC season 8-2 on the season to finish 2nd in the conference. The Lady Chargers will travel to NorthWood to take on Tippy Valley on Tuesday night. Game time is approximately 7:30pm.
