Chargers Hold off Wildcats in Hoops Action

The West Noble Chargers upped their record to 12-1 on the season by defeating the Whitko Wildcats 53-41 in South Whitley on Saturday night. The Chargers started off slowly after back to back road games, but quickly pulled out to a 19 point lead after 3 quarters as Coach Best played many players throughout the 2nd half. Drew Schermerhorn scored 16 points for the Chargers while Nick Thomas scored 11 and Keith Gibson scored 10. Thomas led the Chargers with 5 assists while Schermerhorn pulled down 6 rebounds to lead the Chargers. The Chargers host the Fairfield Falcons on Friday night in a huge NECC contest for both teams.
In JV action, the Chargers defeated the Wildcats 41-24. The Chargers got 12 each from Kyler Warble and Waylon Richardson. Nik Risser knocked in 7 points while Brandon Moser added 4. Scoring 2 each for West Noble were Tyler Clouse, Grant Moser and Tim Stohlman. The JV Chargers are now 10-3 on the year. Great job guys!
