Chargers Sweep Eagles in NECC Showdown

The West Noble boys basketball team defeated the Fremont Eagles by a 71-49 score on Friday night at Fremont.  The Chargers eventually pulled away from the scrappy Eagles in the second half after leading by only 9 at half.  Drew Schermerhorn led the way with 23 points while knocking down 6 three pointers.  Nick Thomas also added 11 points while Keith Gibson chipped in 10 and Brandon Evans 9.  Thomas led the Chargers with 6 assists and Gibson led with 8 rebounds.  The Chargers upped their record to 6-0 in the NECC while increasing their overall record to 11-1.  Great job guys!

In the JV game, West Noble defeated Fremont 30-29 on a last second basket by Grant Moser.  The Chargers fought off the tough Eagles behind a tough defense and some timely scoring.  Leading the scoring for the Chargers were Nik Risser and Kyler Warble with 10 points each.  Moser added 4, Brandon Moser 3, Carl Hartwell 2 and Waylon Richardson 1.  Great job guys!
