West Noble Boys Make It 9 Straight

By Tom Schermerhorn of West Noble High SchoolThe West Noble boys basketball team continued its winning ways by defeating the Lakeland Lakers 60-40 in an NECC regular season matchup played at West Noble. The Chargers(9-0) jumped out to a 23-11 halftime lead that was highlighted by a 2nd quarter baseline dunk by 6'6" guard Phil Miller. Miller along with fellow junior Brandon Evans led the Chargers with 14 points each while classmate Drew Schermerhorn chipped in 13. Senior Nick Noe added 10 points while Nick Thomas and Evans led the Chargers with 5 assists each. Miller also led the Chargers with 7 boards. West Noble will next play Wednesday night against the Prairie Heights/Lakeland winner. That game will be played at the winner of the girls game that evening. Good luck guys!
