IHSAA Tip of the Week

January 7, 2013
By Tom Schermerhorn of West Noble High School

Thomas Edison once said that "Many of life's failures are of those who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up."

That's why coaches say play to the final buzzer.  That's why good teachers challenge you all semester long.  That's why mom and dad provide you with opportunities and inspiration.  They all want you to achieve at the highest level.

Giving up or giving in is the easy way out.  The student-athlete that competes until the end is the one that all opponents fear.
