Lady Chargers Defeat Blazers in Hoops

The Lady Chargers improved their record to 4-3 and more importantly improved their conference record to 3-1 with a 59-32 victory over Eastside.  West Noble was lead by a career game by Ashley Shepherd as she recorded 19 points on the strength of 5 three pointers.  The Chargers jumped out to a 15 to 2 first quarter advantage and put the game away with a strong third quarter.  Helping Ashley in the scoring department was Haley Richardson with 15, Kohdee Hicks 6, Kelsie Peterson 5, Taylor Fisher and KJ Cox 4 each, and Shawna Young, Darby Allen and Cara Groff each tossed in 2 points. 

The West Noble JV stayed hot with a 50 to 13 victory over Eastside.  All nine girls scored with Lexi Shepherd scoring 15, Kendal Baker 9 and Becca Schermerhorn 8.  Other in the scoring column were Paige Shearer 7, Kenzie Cox 4, Cara Groff, Priscila Ortiz and Brooke Lutton 2 each and Darby Allen added 1 point.

The girls are back on the floor Tuesday, 6:15 at Goshen and again Friday, 6:00 at Churubusco for a conferrence match-up.
