Chargers Fall to Lady Warriors

By Tom Schermerhorn of West Noble High SchoolThe Lady Chargers suffered a tough lose Tuesday night at the hands of the Wawasee Warriors on the road. the fast paced first quarter had Wawasee out to a 19-16 lead and the score stayed tight throughout the ballgame. The Lady Chargers could never quite get grab the lead and the Warriors held for a 47-41 victory. Scoring leaders were Haley Richardson with 17, Kelsie Peterson with 8, Kenzie Cox and Ashley Shepherd with 6 each and Taylor Fisher with 4. Varsity record now stands at 3 and 3.
Thr JV Chargers stayed hot and ran their record to 5-1 with a 35-25 win over the Lady Warriors. West Nobles scoring was balanced once again with Kendal Baker leading the way with 7, Darby Allen and Paige Shearer 6 points, Becca Schermerhorn and Brooke Lutton 5, Lexi Shepherd 4 and Cara Groff 2.
The varsity and JV both are back in action against conference foe Eastside. These games are at West Noble this Saturday with the JV tipping off at noon.
