Charger Netters Down Eagles

The youthful West Noble tennis team continues to improve as the season moves along as they defeated the Churubusco Eagles by a 3-2 score in dramatic fashion.    Tyler Rothhaar won at #1 singles 6-3, 6-0.  Jared Swank lost at 2 singles 1-6, 2-6.  Grant Moser and Jacob Musselman lost at #2 doubles 3-6, 4-6.  With the Chargers trailing, the match came down to the #3 singles and #1 doubles positions.  Quinn Groff and Ryan Kendall won their #1 doubles match in three sets 6-3, 1-6, 7-5.  Minutes later Josh Gaff clinched his #3 singles match 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 to complete the victory for the Chargers.  The Chargers evened their overall record to 4-4 and 3-1 in the NECC.  Great job guys!

In JV action, Beck Groff won 8-5 and Trey Waring 8-3.  Keep up the good work Chargers!
