Redskins Top Chargers in Tennis
August 15, 2012By Tom Schermerhorn of West Noble High School
The West Noble Charger tennis team earned valuable experience last night as the youthful Chargers took on an experienced Goshen team. Despite falling by a score of 4-1, Coach Riegsecker had plenty to be pleased about. The roster consisting of 8 freshman and 4 upperclassman competed mightily with the Goshen team. Freshman Josh Gaff earned the only varsity victory for the Chargers at #3 singles while Kolten Peterson earned a JV singles victory and Dom Reynolds and Tyler Clouse combined for a JV doubles victory. #1 singles player junior Tyler Rothhaar took Austin Stutzman to an intense 3 set match before falling in the third 4-6. Nice work guys! The Chargers will be back in action on Saturday at the always tough Dekalb Invitational.
