Home » Boys' Basketball NewsChargers Sink Wawasee in Sectional SemisMarch 3, 2012 By Tom Schermerhorn of West Noble High SchoolThe West Noble Chargers have grown up this season as they defeated the rival Wawasee Warriors on Friday night by a score of 53-39. The Chargers were led by sophomore Keith Gibson, who scored a game high 20 points while also pulling down 12 rebounds. Classmate Drew Schermerhorn knocked down 16 points while Phil Miller yanked down 10 rebounds to go with his 5 points and 4 blocked shots. Nick Thomas played a stellar floor game for the Chargers with his 5 points and 5 assists while being harassed all evening by the Warrior defenders. Also playing a strong post game for the Chargers was Junior big man Nick Noe with 7 points and 3 assists. The Chargers (13-10) will now face the host NorthWood Panthers on Saturday night at 7:30pm in Nappanee. Good luck Chargers and join the caravan leaving the school at 5:45pm.
