Home » Boys' Basketball NewsRed Hot Redskins Defeat Chargers on Senior NightFebruary 27, 2012 By Tom Schermerhorn of West Noble High SchoolThe West Noble Chargers faced a tough Goshen Redskin team on Friday night at West Noble. The Chargers were unable to track down the Redskins after falling behind by 11 at halftime. Keith Gibson recorded a double double for the Chargers by scoring 14 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. Drew Schermerhorn scored 16 points to lead the Chargers in scoring while Nick Thomas scored 8. The game was also the last home game for seniors Damon Lortie and Jordan Younce. Both players will be missed next year as they brought a lot of talent and character to the Charger program. Thanks Damon and Jordan! The loss dropped the Chargers record to 11-10 on the season. West Noble will face Fairfield in the 1st round of the Class 3A sectional at NorthWood on Tuesday. The game will begin at approximately 7:30pm. In JV action the Chargers were defeated by a 60-50 score in what was a very entertaining JV contest. Brandon Moser led the Chargers with 11 points while Brandon Evans had 10 and Landon Stover scored 7. West NobleTeam Roster & Game Stats
