Blue Blazers Top Chargers in Gymnastics

By Tom Schermerhorn of West Noble High SchoolThe Elkhart Central Blue Balzers defeated the West Noble gymnasts by a score of 91.7 to 68.65. The Chargers received a solid evening from Audree Ritchie as she placed 4th in the All Around competition. Audree was just .45 from finishing 2nd overall. Her 7.25 on the floor was enough to earn a tie for 2nd place. The Chargers faired well on the Vault as Kayla Pena scored a 7.6, Monica Guerrero 7.75, Savannah Porter 8.0 and Kennedy Champion scored a 7.65. In JV action, Karla Cortez finished 2nd in the Floor competition while April Strycker finished 3rd. The Chargers will face the Warsaw Tigers on Thursday at West Noble beginning at 6pm.
