Home » BMX Racing NewsKid-a-Palooza in Pittsburgh PAFebruary 26, 2012 By Dan murphy of Westmoreland BMXThe David L. Lawrence convention center in Pittsburgh PA was the site of the Kid-a-Palooza, Westmoreland BMX and South Park BMX were there in force. Our booth packed from start to finish with future BMX racers from 2 years old to 12 years old. We had a great response to the Redline Proline giveaway bike donated by Michaels Cycles in Natrona Heights PA. Chad Eban from New Kensington PA won the race bike for his son and will be picking it up at Michaels Cycles this week. Lizz Neibar was mobbed for her face painting and was a big hit with the children. We gave out stickers and rub on tatoos along with BMX brochures provided by USA/BMX. Many of the young children were excited to get a chance to ride a Strider bike, the bike was ridden long and hard by toddlers all day long. When it was given away it was practically a used bike, but it was loved by all that tried it. I would like to thank those who donated their time from Westmoreland BMX and South Park BMX, we needed several people there to keep up with all the Kid-a-Palooza attendees. It was a great experience and i hope the tracks will get involved with more festivals like Kids-a-Palooza.
