West Lafayette runners dominate at Hoosier Conference meet

RENSSELAER -- Led by individual champions Andrew Cartwright and Bobbie Burgess, West Lafayette's boys and girls defended their Hoosier Conference cross country titles Saturday.
Cartwright (16:27) and Chase Lewark (17:02) finished 1-2 to help the Red Devils score 22 points, 47 more than runner-up Twin Lakes.
Burgess led a sweep of the top seven places for West Lafayette with her time of 19:10. The Red Devils' perfect score of 15 points outdistanced Twin Lakes' 77.
