West Lafayette, Tri-County girls triumph at New Prairie

NEW CARLISLE -- Bobbie Burgess' winning time of 18:25 helped West Lafayette's girls capture the Class AA championship Saturday at the New Prairie Invitational.
Kelly Swift finished ninth to help the Red Devils outscore Fort Wayne Concordia 55-85.
Tri-County's girls also captured a New Prairie championship, taking the Class A division behind top 10 finishes from Micaela Sheldon (third) and Rose Barbarich (sixth). The Cavaliers collected 71 points to outdistance Hebron (103).
