Mauldin has three goals at East Central

Hurley - The Lady Mustangs scored two goals in each half with sophomore Carly Mauldin netting three of them to lead WJ to a 4-0 win in the regular season finale at East Central.

“Our center mids were much more aggressive on the offensive end tonight,” said Coach Craig Winship. “Carly’s shots were on frame tonight and the field stayed balanced.”

Senior fullback Somer Anderson assisted junior forward Beth Coleman’s 19th goal of the year while Coleman assisted two of Mauldin’s scores.

The defense led by Anderson, juniors Mia Bridges and Jordan  Holifield and sophomore Abbey Graham were solid all night long and controlled the pace of the game. Sophomore keeper Abby Baravik had six saves in the shutout win.
