Lady Mustangs are 6-0 vs 5A

Picayune—The Lady Mustangs continued their winning ways in 5A soccer with a 9-1 win at Picayune.

8th grade Meredith Follis hit the game winner off a corner from junior Beth Coleman. Follis also scored in the second half for her first two goal night.

Coleman had a huge night with two goals and four assists including her 100th career assist.

Senior Somer Anderson scored goals in the 42nd and 66th minutes for her first career multigoal performance.

Sophomore Carly Mauldin knocked in three goals and had a pair of assists in the second half.

Junior Payton Roney had a pair of assists in the match. Senior Kelsey Quarles set up the final goal of the match on a beautiful pass to Mauldin.

“Everything went right tonight,” said Coach Winship. “It was a huge 5A win and everyone got some playing time.”
