Practice jerseys for the summer and beyond

We will be wearing WJ practice jerseys at every practice and team event. It is easier for the coaches when all are in the same uniform and it just plain looks more professional. Each player will get a set of three jerseys with our logo on the front and number on the back. The three jerseys will be a green one, a gold one and a gray one.

The cost for the set is $36.00 per player. I understand that this amount could be a burden on some of our players. Instead of giving scholarships to those who cannot afford them, the booster club will front the money for each player who has made the team so that each player may use their jerseys as soon as possible.

Each student will be held to community service in order to repay the booster club’s investment in them at the rate of $5 per hour of service at our Calhoun field or in the community. Eight hours of service to our program will mean their jerseys are free. Any parent that would rather write a check will be allowed to do that, too. However, the community service is my preferred method of payment. That builds character and ownership in our team and community.
