Pangos All South Frosh/Soph Camp

weekend's Pangos All-South Frosh/Soph Camp. This was one of the deepest Pangos All-Frosh/Soph camps held outside of California in the past three years. The class of 2016 led the way behind a tall and talented group of front court talents in 6-10 Herard Schneider, 6-9 Harrison Henderson, 6-6 Terrance Ferguson, 7-0 Gracin Bakumanya, 6-9 Austin Meyer, 6-6 Cameron McGriff, and 6-9 Marques Bolden, along with rising 2017 prospects 6-8 Jarred Vanderbilt, 6-9 Isaiah Jacey, and 6-8 Jeremiah Allen to give the Pangos South a deep nucleus for the scouts in attendance to evaluate. Below is a look at the top talent in the two "Cream of the Crop" All-Star games, as well as our own honorable mention group. So with that in mind here's a look at the top prospects in the Top 30 Cream of the Crop Game this past weekend at the Pangos All-South Frosh/Soph Camp:
Top 30 Cream of the Crop Game
Deon Barrett 5-9 2016 Skyline (Dallas TX) - He had 5 points in the T30 game. Quick ball handler, who can deliver the rock off the dribble, or finish in traffic. He sets it all up with jumper from three and is really quick which will allow him to defend both guard spots. Mid to high majors should be monitoring.
Ricky "Doc" Nelson 6-0 2017 Episcopal (Houston TX) - He had 5 points in the T30 game plus 4 assists. Young combo isn't bashful from three or off the dribble from fifteen feet. He has good ball skills and sees open man or the cut. He has ability to finish drive with bounce. Should be on mid-up radars.
DJ McGee 5-11 2016 Prestonwood Christian (Plano TX) - He had 5 points in the T30 game. This solid lead guard has excelolent handle, sees the court, and looks to deliver the rock off dribble in half-court or turn in transition. He is adeadly three point shooter and uses it to set up penetration. Mid to high majors should be monitoring.
Chris Giles 6-3 2017 West (Plano TX) - This skilled combo can flat out knock down the three with regulatity, stop & pop 17 footer or get to rim and finish versus contact. He has handle to create with either hand and is good passer. He gives effort on "D" too! Mid to high majors should be monitoring.
De’Aaron Fox 6-2 2016 Cypress Lakes (Cypress TX) - He had 4 points in the T30 game. This explosive athlete with big-time hops can attack the hoop and create highlights with BT dunks. He has good mid-range game off the dribble, but needs to work on consitency from three to complete offensive package. He could have a Russell Westbrook type game if he matures and learns to play with teammates..its up to him to prove he wants to join 2016's elite.
Rashad Kirkshaw 6-1 2017 Cedar Hill (Cedar Hill TX) - He had 17 points in the T30 game on 7 of 12 shooting, including 3 of 6 from three point land.Lefty lead guard can flat out attack the hoop off the dribble, kick it to open cutter or wing. He has excellent vision on break and has ability to knock it down from arc or pull-up. He is a quick defender who can pick your pocket. Should be on mid-up radars.
Jamar Sandifer 6-2 2016 Triple A Academy (Dallas TX) - Quick scoring guard with range to three who can deliver the ball to open man if doubled off the dribble. he has a deadly pull-up from 15-17 feet going left or right. he can rebound from back court and will "D" you up too! Should be on mid-up radars.
Jordan Myers 6-2 2017 North Crowley (Dallas TX) - This young wing can sklash and drive, then finish at the rim in traffic or stop and pop 15-footer on pull-up. He can grab it off the glass and take it end to end or cross and go. He needs to extend range to three to complete potential quicks & handle promise. Should be on mid-up radars.
Vance Hughes 6-3 2015 Kennendale (Kennendale TX) - He had 10 points in the T30 game on 4 of 8 shooting including two threes. This solid wing shooter showed range to three, can attack hoop off the dribble and finish in traffic with bounce. He can get on glass or defend both two and three spots. He needs to develop pull-up game to complete game package. Should be on mid-up radars.
Cameron McGriff 6-6 2016 South Grand Prairie (Grand Prairie TX) - He had 7 points in the T30 game on 3 of 4 shooting. This athletic combo forward with huge bounce and quickness grew on me over the weekend. He competes on the glass, attacks the hoop, and finishes with highlight smashes. He hit mid-range shot off face-up, but has to work on extending ramnge to move to wing full-time. Mid to high majors should be monitoring.
Mark Crowe 6-4 2016 Wilson (Dallas TX) - He had 4 points in the T30 game. Athletic wing man can finish drive versus contact or get on glass, then start the break with outlet and fill a lane. He has ok pull-up jumper, but needs to work on extending range and complet wing package. Should be on mid-major radars.
Jerris Harris 6-1 2016 Humble (Humble TX) - Solid combo guard can knock down jumper to three or use handle to create drive or pull-up jumper. He can run the break and deliver rock to open man in transition.Should be on mid-major radars.
Quintin Wallace Jr. 6-5 2017 Clarksville (TX) - He had 10 points in the T30 game on 5 of 6 shooting. Combo forward who had flashes of the future, as he can board, start break, then be involved on finish in transition. He is a good passer on face-up and hit mid-range shot. His stock will rise as range extends. Should be on mid-up radars.
Josh Parrish 6-3 2016 Seguin (Arlington TX) - He had 2 points in the T30 game. The perpetual motion man put out 100% on both ends. He played hard on defense, had nose for ball off the glass, and helped get ball to open man off the dribble. He hit jumper and finished around the hoop versus contact. Glue man for winners! Mid to high majors should be monitoring.
Curtis Hollis 6-5 2016 Prime Prep (Dallas TX) - He had 4 points in the T30 game. This athletic wing man can board and take it end to end or pass to open man off the dribble. He hit 15-footer off dribble and finished a t rim with bounce. As shot range extends look out! Mid to high majors should be monitoring.
Jarred Vanderbilt 6-8 2017 Victory Prep (Houston TX) - He had 7 points in the T30 game on 3 of 4 shooting and grabbed 5 rebounds. This long and explosive rising freshman wing has all the tools to become one of 2017's best. He can attack the hoop off the dribble, finish with highlights or kiss off the glass. He can grab board and take it end to end. He hit 15-footer on pull-up, look out when he extends range to three and matures physically. High majors should have him on must see list!
Isaiah Jacey 6-9 2017 Ellison (Killeen TX) - He had 4 points in the T30 game. This high-low post score can catch it in traffic, and spin then kiss it off the glass or drop and dunk. He showed he can pop to 15 feet then hit jumper. He needs to add strength, but tools are there to be good one in time. He should be on high major radar.
Marques Bolden 6-10 2016 Desoto (TX) - He had 2 points in the T30 game. He can flat out get it done on the blocks, he has soft hands and catches everything in traffic and finishes with jump hook or dunk in close. He can take bigs away from hoop, pop 17 footer, or drive and pull-up from 10-feet or make highlights with slam finish. He blocked shots and denied ball to post. This physical rebounder has complete post/power forwad package! High majors should have him on must see list!
Austin Meyer 6-9 2016 Mustang (Mustang OK) - This skilled power forward can take it off glass and go end to end or outlet trail and hit 17-footer on secondary break. He rolls to block, catches in traffic and finishes in the paint versus contact. He is definitely a face four to watch! He should be on High Major radar.
Colby Honeycutt 6-5 2016 Triple A Academy (Dallas TX) - He had 3 points in the T30 game. This athletic combo can flat out get on the glass and start break with outlet or dribble. He fills a lane and can finish drive or break versusw contact. He has a real nose for the ball off the glass. He will need to work on extending his shot to complete future move o wing, stay tuned! Mid to high majors should be monitoring.
Isaiah Brown 6-2 2016 Flower Mound (TX) - He had 2 points in the T30 game. This shooting guard can knock down jumper from three or off the pull-up. He is a good passer , so he makes double teams pay with ability to get it to open man. Should be on mid-up radars.
Jeremiah Allen 6-8 2017 Home School (Bryan TX) - He had 9 points in the T30 game on 4 of 6 shooting. This face-up four man grew on me ove the weekend. He can pop 18-footer, can create drive or pull-up versus bigs, or dump it to post when doubled up. He can roll and score with short jumper on blocks. Should be on mid-up radars.
Terrance Ferguson 6-6 2016 Prime Prep (Dallas TX) - - He had 19 points in the T30 game on 7 of 11 shooting, including 3 of 6 from three point land. He is an impact player when he stays true to his game, using his sweet jumper from three to set up drive and finish with highlights as he showed in T30 game. He is working on mid-range game and is improving effort on "D". As he matures he could become an impact talent with added strength, stay tuned! High majors should have him on must see list!
Harrison Henderson 6-9 2016 Triple A Academy (TX) - He had 12 points in the T30 game on 5 of 9 shooting. Very mobile big man who can out run defenders off glass on break. He doesn't back down on blocks and uses jump hook or drop to score on blocks. he showed range to 17-feet, so face-up game could develop in time. He should be on high major radar.
Nate Morris 6-9 2016 Lancaster (TX) - He had 2 points in the T30 game. This strong and physical big man isn't flashy, but he gets it done on the glass, blocks shots, and can finish on blocks versus contact. He showed he can pop out and hit 16-footer if defense backs off him. Mid to high majors should be monitoring.
Gracin Bakumanya 7-0 2016 Pantego Christian Academy (Arlington TX) - This long and very mobile big man has ability to board and outlet, really run the floor to beat other bigs down floor. He showed range to arc, but was at his best when he went inside-out. he blocks shots in the paint, is ok rebounder, but whole package conmes together with strength. He should be on high major radar.
Herard Schneider 6-10 2016 Prestonwood Christian (Plano TX) - He had 6 points in the T30 game. This physical, no nonsense big man is a beast when he stays inside and uses his footwork and strength to score from variety of angles. He has jump hook, turnaround, and drop and dunk in his arsenal. He can trail on break and hit 16-18 footer too!. He blocks and alters shots on "D"too! High majors should have him on must see list!
Deshang Weaver 6-6 2018 Cy-Falls (Cypress TX) - This young face-up four man, more than held his own inside with deep group of bigs in Dallas. He battled on glass, scored versus contact, then stepped out and hit 15-footer. he has solid handle and could grow 3-4 inches yet. With growth and strength, look out! High majors should have him on must see list!
Shawn Williams 6-0 2017 Prime Prep (Dallas TX) - He had 5 points in the T30 game. Quick on quick combo guard can handle rock, run the break, knock down three on catch and shoot or off the dribble. He has scorers mentality, but is a good passer and he could mature into point in time. Mid to high majors should be monitoring.
