2012 Jerry Tarkanian Classic

Dear Media/Scouts/College Coaches:  This is an update for the inaugural 2012 Jerry Tarkanian Classic being held on Wednesday December 19th - Saturday December 22nd at Bishop Gorman HS (Las Vegas NV) and Faith Lutheran HS (Las Vegas NV).

The final 2012 field of teams include:

Platinum Division

* Sheldon (Sacramento CA)
* Morgan Park (Chicago IL)
* Our Savior New American (Centereach NY)

* Bishop O'Dowd (Oakland CA)
* Pinnacle (Phoenix AZ)
* Modesto Christian (Modesto CA)
* Redondo Union (Redondo Beach CA)
* Westwind Prep (Phoenix AZ)
* Harlan (Chicago IL)
* Durango (Las Vegas NV)
* Cheyenne (North Las Vegas NV)
* Desert Vista (Phoenix AZ)


Gold Division

* St. Anthony (Long Beach CA)
* Ribet Academy (Los Angeles CA)
* Foothills Christian (El Cajon CA)
* Lynwood (Lynwood (CA)
* Narbonne (Harbor City CA)
* Faith Lutheran (Las Vegas NV)

While the complete schedule will be released early next week, I have listed below the general outline of activities:


Wednesday December 19th

4:00pm   Mater Dei vs. Ribet Academy
5:30pm   Bishop Gorman vs. Foothills Christian 

9:30pm-11:30pm  Coaches Media Social @ site TBA


** note that Northern Iowa plays at UNLV this same evening at 7:00pm


Thursday December 20th

11:30am-1:30pm  Tarkanian Tourney Luncheon @ Gorman HS

3:00pm - 9:45pm  Tourney Games

 
Friday December 21st

10:00am - 10:30pm Tourney Games

7:30pm - 8:00pm  Tarkanian Tribute @ Gorman Main Court



Saturday December 22nd
 
10:00am - 7:30pm  Tourney Games
* Championship Game 6:00pm




The event website (www.tarkanianclassic.com) will be activated late next week and will contain tourney info including tourney schedule, special hotel information and other info.
