Imperial Valley 64, San Fernando Valley 57 - Brandon Newman had 27 pts, 7 asts and 3 steals to lead IVC to a win over a team of unsigned sophs. Kemorris Gunn (El Camino) and Bryce Layne (LA Southwest) scored 12 pts each for the SFV.

Chaffey 59, LA Southwest 40 - Sango Niang scored 16 pts to lead Chaffey to the win. Southwest led by 2 at halftime but Chaffey started the 2nd half with an 18-3 run to take control.

Santa Monica 51, LA Pierce 42 - David Nwaba scored 14 pts to lead the SMC main team to a 2-0 mark on the weekend (the frosh went 0-2). Jaylen Bland played with Pierce (though he's not expected to attend Pierce this fall) and scored 11 pts, and Khiry Williams had 4 pts plus 9 asts.

Chaffey 50, El Camino 46 - Despite resting most of the regulars Chaffey wrapped up a 4-0 mark for the weekend with a close win over ElCo. Justin Long led Chaffey with 11 pts. Joshua Wilson led El Camino with 13 pts.

Pasadena 54, Fullerton 46 - Fullerton rallied from 26 points down to cut the deficit to 7 but Pasadena held on for the win. Shelton Boykin led PCC with 17 pts. Jason Payne spurred the comeback with 3 straight 3-pointers and finished with 14 pts, all in the second half, for Fullerton.

Compton 63, San Diego City 43 - It was tied at 22 at the half but Compton shot a sizzling 76% from the floor in the second half to pull away. Danny Morris had 13 pts and Wesley Harris had 12 for Compton. Anthony Poindexter led SD City with 10 pts and 6 rebs.

Fullerton 52, Glendale 49 - Julian Caldwell scored 19 pts, 17 in the 2nd half, and Joel Brokenbrough finished a rough game by taking a key charge on Gor Plavchyan with 8.1 seconds left as Fullerton held on for the win. Chris Kapoosian came off the bench for 10 pts and 4 asts for Glendale
