PG Nigel Williams-Goss

Class of 2013 PG Nigel Williams-Goss has verbally committed to the University of Washington. 

Nigel has started 62 games at Findlay and is 92-7 over his 3 years with 2 ESPN National High School Invitational Championships.  This season he averaged 15.0 points on 8.8 shots per game, 4.0 rebounds, 4.9 assists, 1.2 steals while shooting 61.0% from the field, 37.5% from 3 and 80.2% from the FT line. 

This season Nigel was named MVP of the Big City Showdown in Las Vegas vs. highly ranked Bishop Gorman with 20 points on 7 of 13 from the field, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals.  He was also the MVP of the Showdown in D-Town vs. then #1 ranked Flower Mound Marcus earlier in the season.  Versus 4 top ranked programs (Simeon, LaLumiere, Marcus, Bishop Gorman) he averaged 18.3 ppg, 4.3 rebs, 3 asst and shot 25 of 45 (55.6%) from the field.  Defensively he held Simeon’s Kendrick Nunn to 1-3 for 3 points with 4 turnovers and 5 fouls, Marcus’s Phil Forte to 2 points on 1 of 9 shooting, and Gorman’s Rosco Allen to 6 points on 2 of 5 shooting. 

In the AAU seasons, Nigel won the Adidas Super 64 Championship with DoublePump as a 9th grader leading the team in scoring with 19 in the Final. 

This season he is with California Supreme.  He has helped Cal Supreme to 1st place in their division.  This past weekend they went 5-1 in Oakland.   In 23.8 minutes per game averaged 15.2 ppg on 9.0 attempts per game, 4 rebounds, 4.5 assists, shot 66.0% on 36 for 54 shooting from the field, 42.8% from 3 (3 of 7) and 80.0% from FT line (16 of 20).  He only had 8 turnovers in those 6 games in 143 minutes.

Nigel is the 8th member of the 2011-12 Pilot team to select his school.  6 seniors have signed and he is the second junior (Christian Wood – UNLV) to verbal.

Findlay was 32-1 this season and won the ESPN National High School Invitational.  In the past 5 years, Findlay is 157-8 overall including 65-0 at home with 3 NHSI championships.  4 Findlay alums have been drafted in the past 2 drafts.  In the past 4 seasons, the Pilots have had 6 McDonalds All-Americans and 6 Jordan Brand All-Americans.
