Junior J.P. Crawford on Tuesday had a memorable day for the Lakewood High baseball team. He went 4 for 5 with two triples, a double and seven RBIs to lead the Lancers to a 13-3 victory over Loara in the Loara Tournament.

Senior Danny Kaeka contributed two hits and two RBIs, and senior J.P. Yakel had two hits and three runs.

Junior Ricky Winfield pitched four innings and gave up just two hits and an unearned run while striking out four to earn his first varsity victory for Lakewood (2-1).

Bellflower 4, San Pedro 2: Sophomore Ricky Serrano had three hits - including a double that ignited a three-run rally in the bottom of the sixth inning - to lead the host Bucs (2-3) in the El Segundo Tournament. Junior David Martinez drove in two runs, including what proved to be the game-winner with a squeeze bunt in the sixth.

Downey Calvary Chapel 12, St. Anthony 0: Home runs by Matthew Rodriguez, Frank Manriquez and Brian Bell highlighted a 14-hit attack for the visiting Grizzlies (3-0) in nonleague play. Bell also pitched the first four innings to pick up the victory; he struck out six. Matt Blanchard had two hits - including a double - for the Saints (2-2).

Wilson 3, Tustin 1: Senior Ryan Emma pitched five innings and allowed just two hits and a run while striking out five to lead the Bruins (2-1) in this Loara Tournament at Wilson. Emma also drove in a run.
