Justine Kruger went 2-3, sparking West Central to a 4-1 victory in seven innings over North White on Friday at North White.
She singled in the first and third innings.
Joelyn Flotow was a workhorse in the circle while bagging the win for West Central. Flotow pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, six hits and no walks while striking out three.
West Central stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the second, scoring one run on an RBI single by Shelby Powell.
West Central built upon its lead with two runs in the third. A clutch ground out scored Kruger to open the scoring in the frame. That was followed up by an error that scored Hallie Feuquay.
North White scored its only run of the game on an RBI single by Steinke in the sixth inning.
West Central falls 11-1 to North White despite Czarnecki's effort
West Central lost 11-1 to North White on Friday at North White, despite a total of seven hits.
Hannah Czarnecki was solid at the plate for West Central. Czarnecki went 1-2 and scored one run. She singled in the fifth inning.
Joelyn Flotow baffled North White, striking out seven batters. Flotow allowed eight earned runs, 18 hits and four walks over 5 2/3 innings.
West Central pounded North Judson on Saturday 10-4 at North Judson in seven innings.
Ashton Barkho racked up four RBIs on one hit for West Central. She homered in the sixth inning.
Joelyn Flotow recorded the win for West Central. She allowed two runs over seven innings. Flotow struck out 10, walked one and gave up eight hits.
Early lead gives West Central easy victory over North Judson, 16-5
West Central jumped out to an early lead on North Judson and captured an 16-5 victory on Saturday at North Judson.
With 12 runs in the first three innings, West Central left no doubt about the eventual outcome.
A passed ball, an error, a two-run single by Cali Fairchild, an error, a two-run single by Autumn Wireman, a sacrifice fly by Ashton Barkho, and a wild pitch in the first inning and a wild pitch and a groundout by Wireman during the second inning supplied the early offense for West Central.
It was a good day at the plate for West Central's Cortney Feuquay. Feuquaywent 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. She tripled in the first inning and singled in the third and fourth innings.
Joelyn Flotow got the win for West Central. She allowed two runs over four innings. She struck out two, walked none and surrendered four hits.
