Wega Tunes Up for Regionals 2009 in a Big Way!!

Getting ready for the 2009 WIAA Regional Meet always winds up at home for the WFHS Track Teams. And it always features the honorary Senior Mile Relay to commemorate the very last time a WF senior races on the track at Wega High School. But mostly, this last home meet right before Regionals represents the passing of the torch from one years graduating seniors to the next generation of Wega-Fremont Track Stars.
It has turned in to an exceptionally good meet for the kids from Wega. Running everyone as often as the rules allow, and putting numerous relays together so that everyboy and their brother ends up contributing to the team point totals, is just what the doctor has ordered for quite a few years for the WFHS track team.
Named as the most outstanding athletes for the girls team Dani Johnson, Amanda Miller, Ellen Schroeder, and Devery DeSantis. Named as the most outstanding boys were Taylor Looker, Jake Wetzel, and Jake Kuenzi.
