Stars Compete in Flashrock Invite

The Webo Boys & Girls Cross Country Teams traveled to Carmel on Saturday to compete in the Flashrock Invitational.  It was a great day for the Stars as several runners had personal best times.

The girls team was led by Hannah Hayden with a personal best time of 22:11.  Madison Gourley wasn't far behind with a time of 23:09.  Other scorers were Bridget Wiley, Alexis Goglia, and Erin Biddle. 

The boys squad was once again led by Zach Wade and Connor Smith, who each set personal best marks of 18:21 and 18:31, respectively.  Other scorers for the boys team were Cody Rice, Justin Foxworthy, and Doug Mathis. 

"This was a great day for our program," said coach Dustin Harrison.  "Around half of my runners had personal bests today, so it tells me we are peaking at the right time."

The Stars will have the week off and begin preparing for the Sagamore Conference meet on September 27th.
