Stars Improve in Landes Invitational

The Western Boone Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams competed in the Landes Invitational this evening at Hamilton Heights.  The boys finished 5th and girls placed 8th out of 13 teams.

Connor Smith finished first for the Stars with a time of 18:48, and Zach Wade was right behind him with a personal best time of 18:54.  Douglas Mathis, Grant Stauffer, & Cody Rice also scored for the Stars with times of 19:36, 19:51, and 20:24, respectively.

The girls team was led by Madison Gourley with a personal best time of 23:20. Hannah Hayden also had a personal best with a time 23:48.  Also scoring for the lady Stars were Erin Biddle, Alexis Goglia, and Bridget Wiley.

"I am very satisfied with our performance as a team tonight.  It's hard to be disappointed when 18 of your 25 runners achieve personal best times," said head coach Dustin Harrison.

The Stars' next meet will be the Charger Classic held at North Montgomery next Thursday.
