The Western Boone Lady Stars traveled to Southmont last night for their first conference game.  The JV beat the Mounties in three games 25-11, 24-25, and 15-5.  Claire Fuller and Jenna Thomas contributed to the win with exceptional hitting, as well as Madison Morton and Kate Gillum with great defense. 

 

The Varsity swept the Mounties in three games, 25-17, 25-17, and 25-13.  Leading the Stars were Emily Harrison with 15 kills and 14 digs, Nicole Chance with 8 kills and 7 digs, Lydia Climer with 34 assists and 2 digs, and Kaitlin Miller with 17 digs and 4 aces.  The varsity will be traveling to Cardinal Ritter this Saturday, August 18th, for their first tournament of the season.
