2014 Cheer Squad News


Claire Andrews was named Courtwarming Queen and Andrew Mullock was named Courtwarming King. The other queen candidate was Kristen Andrews. Junior attendants were Kaitlyn Davidson and Jared Simmons. Sophomore attendants were Dylanie Abplanalp and Chris Alarcon. Freshman attendants were Sidney Troutwine and Jacob Wimer. 

Court Warming this year is on Febuary 14. 

The theme is Tiger Globetrotting Around the World. Each class chose the county they would like to represent and based that on their locker decorations. 

Dress up days for Courtwarming week are as follows:


            Monday - Camo Day

            Tuesday - Pajama Day

            Wednesday - class Color Day

            (seniors - black; juniors - blue; sophomores - purple; freshmen - orange; ;8th grade - pink; 7th grade white)

            Thursday - Nerd Day

            Friday - Black & Gold Day



2013 Cheer Squad News


 Homecoming Theme Announcement

 “Branding a Tiger Victory” has been chosen by the Student Council as this year’s theme. Themes should be based on popular brands or advertising slogans. The Homecoming celebration will begin on Thursday night this year. Thursday night activities will be at the football field starting at 7:00pm  and will include a community pep rally and coronation. Scheduled activities on Friday include a pep rally at 8:15am, a parade which will originate in front of the school at 2:45 and follow the normal parade route, not making any stops, and returning to the school by 3:30pm. Student Council is extending an invitation to Worth County organizations or groups encouraging them to sponsor an entry in the parade. Information regarding entry requirements and parade order contact the school, 564-2218. 


The pre-game show on Friday is slated to begin at 6:35pm on the Frank B. Matteson Memorial Field, with the introduction of the queen and her court escorted by their fathers at 6:35pm.  At 6:50pm will be the introduction of teams followed by the playing of the National Anthem by the Worth County Marching Tigers.  Opening kickoff between the Worth County Tigers and the Nodaway Holt Trojans is scheduled for 7:00 pm Halftime activities will be conducted.


A dance, sponsored by the cheerleaders, will conclude the day’s activities at 11:30.  All students, grades 9-12, as well as Worth County alumni are invited to attend.  Charge to the dance will be $4.00 per person; $7.00 per couple.


2013 Homecoming Royalty is: Queen Candidates – Claire Andrews, Kristen Andrews, Brianna Fletchall; King Candidates – Dalton Miller, Andrew Mullock and Wyatt Rush ; Junior Attendants – Sydney Thummel & Josh Warner; Sophomore Attendants – Tess Andrews & Jake Hardy;  Freshmen Attendants – Quinci Schottel & Wade Rush

 Cheerleaders are sponsoring the Homecoming dress up days. This years dress up days are as follows.

  • Monday- Celebrity Day
  • Tuesday- Class Color (7th- Green, 8th- Purple, 9th- White, 10th- Blue, 11th- Orange,
    12th- Black)
  • Wednesday- Teacher/ Student switch day (Students dress like their favorite teacher or dress like a teacher)
  • Thursday- Gender Bender ( girls dress like boys and boys dress like girls) following the school dress code
  •  Friday- Spirit Day


 We, here at the school, encourage our patrons to take an active role in this year’s Homecoming celebration, whether it is supporting the “Tigers” at the game, sponsoring an entry in the parade, decorating business windows or simply attending the dance.  All positive means of support for our school’s celebration will be appreciated.




The last home football game the cheerleaders were throwing out T-shirts that were sponsered by Drifters Express. The cheerleaders do a outstanding job everytime they cheer.
