Hall reaches milestone in girls basketballPublished: Friday, February 5, 2010 11:42 AM CST HAMILTON, Ill. -- West Hancock senior Marley Hall scored her 2,500th point Thursday in leading the Titans to a 56-26 win over the Pittsfield Lady Saukees.
Hall accomplished the feat on a free throw in the second quarter. She finished the game with 28 points and has 2,511 points in her high school career.
Hall scored 10 points in the first quarter to help the Titans take a 16-6 lead at the end of the first quarter. Hall added nine more points in the second quarter as West Hancock extended the margin to 29-1- by halftime.
Cassie Yager and Alayna Diveney each scored six points for West Hancock. Danie Buckert, Jackie Bunn and Caitlin Shoup each had five points, and Jessi Heavin finished with one point.
Marla Willard scored 12 points to lead Pittsfied, 20-8 on the season.
West Hancock, 23-4, ends the regular season in the KHQA Subway Super Fan Shootout today at Quincy Notre Dame High School. The Titans play Clopton at 7 p.m.
