AURORA, Ill. — Kevin Crozier, a sophomore from Hamilton, Ill., has competed in six cross country events for Aurora University.
Crozier ran his best time of the season at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Brooks Invitational Saturday at the Lake Breeze Golf Course. He completed the 8K course in a time of 28:24.72.
Crozier opened the cross country season with a time of 31:44.2 at the Waubonsee Chief Invitational in Sugar Grove, Ill., on Aug. 31. He had a time of 29:04.7 at the Aurora University Invite on Sept. 6 and ran his second-best time of the season at the Falcon Invitational (Concordia University) in Mequon, Wis., on Sept. 14. Crozier finished with a time of 28:43.7.
Crozier had a time of 30:42.1 at the Brissman-Lundee Invite (Augustana College) on Sept. 27 at Rock Island, Ill., and finished with a time of 30:36.4 at the Warrior Invitational (Wisconsin Lutheran) on Oct. 5 at Milwaukee.
Aurora competes in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Meet in Milwaukee on Nov. 2.
Ayers runs personal best 8K time

DUBUQUE — Iowa Wesleyan’s Jacob Ayers, a junior from Hamilton, Ill., ran a personal best time at the Loras College Dr. Tucker Cross Country Invitational Friday.
Despite having a shoe come untied with nearly two miles to go, Ayers pushed through to a 46 second personal record. His time of 27:51 on the 8-kilometer course put him 16th overall.
Zach Baker, a senior from the Iowa Track Club, won the event with a time of 25:13.4. Sam Whan, a sophomore from Loras College, was the runner-up with a time of 25:38.1.
Breanna Derynck led the Iowa Wesleyan women’s team in the 6-kilometer race. Derynck ran just four seconds off her season best, clocking in at 28:09 to finish 74th overall.
Allison Miles also competed for the Tigers. Miles set a 46 second personal best, running 34:24 for the 6K race. She placed 91st overall.
