WARSAW, Ill. — The West Hancock Titans improved to 19-5 on the season with a 64-48 win over the Illini West Chargers in a boys basketball game Tuesday at Warsaw High School.
Paxton Harmon scored 30 points to lead West Hancock. He scored 12 points in the first quarter to help the Titans take a 19-14 lead.
West Hancock extended the lead to 27-20 by halftime and 42-30 by the end of the third quarter.
Austin Hardy and Parker Gibbs each had 11 points. Ben Sinele scored 10 points, and Jordan White finished with two points.
Brody Gronewold scored 16 points, and Levi Kirby tossed in 14 points to pace Illini West. Braden Bennett had six points. Nolan Ard added five points. Bryton Smith contributed four points, and Brayden Carroll finished with three points.
Illini West hosts Rockridge Friday in a West Central Conference North Division contest and plays North Lawndale Prep at 3 p.m. Saturday in the KHQA Subway Superfan Shootout at Quincy Notre Dame.
West Hancock plays Elsberry at 6 p.m. Saturday in the KHQA Subway Superfan Shootout.
