Green to play baseball at UK

Hunter Green, a senior left-handed pitcher and outfielder for Warren East High School, signed November 15 to play baseball for the University of Kentucky. Green hit .400 last season with six home runs and 28 runs batted in. As a pitcher, he went 6-2 with a 1.76 earned run average, striking out 111 in 52 innings. That included a 20-strikeout no-hitter against Edmonson County on May 14.

Green was part of a Warren East team that won a regional championship in 2011.
