The Social Studies Department at Drakes Creek Middle School did a history activity called Chautauqua on May 17th. Chautauqua is a way to make history come alive through research and performance. Students selected historical figures, did research, then wrote and performed a monologue in their classroom. Seventh grade students chose historical figures from World History, and eighth grade students chose figures who have influenced American History.
