Brooks signs with Greensboro College

Story by Keith Thomas

Senior Camden Brooks recently committed to play soccer for the Greensboro College Pride and Head Coach John Trice.  Greensboro College is a four-year private liberal arts institution affiliated with the United Methodist Church.  The Pride has 16 NCAA Division III varsity sports and plays in the USA South Conference.

Playing left wing for Western Alamance, Brooks was the Warriors leading scorer during the season with 10 goals and one penalty kick.  His senior leadership and drive led Western to a 19-3-1 overall record, securing 1st place in the Mid-State conference and also winning the first annual Mid-State conference tournament championship.   For his exceptional play in 2013, Brooks was voted to the “All Conference” squad.

Brooks plays club soccer and is captain on the ‘96 BSC Cardinal team.  In his spare time, he referees soccer games in the area.  Congratulations to Cam and good luck playing for the PRIDE!
