WA Softball Weekly Wrap-Up: Week of 3/10

3/11/14 - WESTERN ALAMANCE 2, NORTHERN GUILFORD 0: At Greensboro, Christina Walker hit a home run and Presley Garone added a double as the Warriors defeated host Northern Guilford. Caroline Carpenter tallied a single and a sacrifice fly for Western Alamance (2-0, 1-0). Courtney Rudd picked up the victory, striking out nine batters.

3/12/14 - WA 7, EA 0: ELON — Peyton Hyler Hyler went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and Western Alamance put up five runs in the third inning and went on to shutout visiting Eastern Alamance 7-0 in a Mid-State 3-A Conference softball game called after six innings because of weather Wednesday.

Christina Walker and Caroline Carpenter added a pair of hits and an RBI apiece while Maura Witzel added a hit and RBI for the Warriors (3-0. 2-1).

Courtney Rudd (3-0) picked up the victory for Western Alamance, giving up four hits and striking out eight.

3/13/14 - WA 0, MHS 7: At Elon, visiting Eden Morehead erupted for five seventh-inning runs and defeated Western Alamance 7-0 in a Mid-State 3-A Conference game.

Peyton Hyler had a double and went 3-for-4 and Christina Walker was a perfect 2-for-2 at the plate for the Warriors (3-1, 2-1).
