Football: Strong Second Half Propels WA To 34-20 Win Over SA

WA broke open a close game with a dominant second half en route to an opening game 34-20 victory over Southern Alamance.
The Patriots led 14-6 at halftime but the Warriors came back energized and thoroughly dominated both offensively and defensively in the second half.
WA's scoring was spearheaded by the QB/WR combo of Darrius Pinnix to Mende Carlton. These guys hooked up for 3 TDs through the air.
Zach "Sproles" Wilson and Josiah Bellamy also scored on the ground for the Warriors. Pinnix reached paydirt on a 2-point conversion for the Warriors. Preston Tootle also scored on a 2-point conversion for WA.
Defensively, Rodney Way played strong and came up with a fumble recovery. Chandler Weger was a force along the DL. Cody Walker was also in on a lot of tackles.
